Windows 7 Experience Index Rating Score Tweaked
Microsoft has introduced Windows Experience Index (WEI) in Windows Vista, which help users to better understand how well Windows Vista and other software will perform on the PC. In Windows Vista, computer is rated with a “base score” ranges from 1.0 to 5.9 that is achieved by measuring the capability of computer’s hardware configuration. However, the WEI score in Vista has been dismal and surprisingly low for many, especially on gaming graphics card, causing overall rating to drop.

Windows 7 RC May Release on April 10, 2009
There are now all kind of rumors and speculations on when the next update after Windows 7 Beta will be officially released. Microsoft has made know that the update will be Windows 7 RC (Release Candidate) version. So far, there is only leaked Windows 7 Build 7022 comes after the official release of Windows 7 Beta Build 7000 been released in early January.

Microsoft To Release Test Updates to Windows 7 Beta Systems
Microsoft plans to deliver up to 5 test updates to PCs running the Windows 7 Beta (Build 7000) via Windows Update, beginning from February 24th, 2009. These updates will not be installed automatically, and user will be notified, even though Windows Update has been configured for automatic update. It’s not clear if the leaked Windows 7 Build 7022 system will get the test updates or not.

AuthenTec fingerprint sensor is one of the few devices that Windows 7 does not automatically provide compatible driver for immediate recognition and use upon installation, or after searching via Windows Update. Instead, the AuthenTec fingerprint sensor will appear with other devices with exclamation mark in Device Manager.

Windows 7 Build 7048 May Be RC (RC1) Release On End February 2009
The stability, reliability and performance of Windows 7 Beta Build 7000, and the subsequent leaked Windows 7 Build 7022, have leaded many to believe that the release roadmap and schedule of Windows 7 operating system will be bring forward, rather than later. Microsoft has confirmed that there won’t be any beta 2 for Windows 7, and will directly release Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC or RC1).
Fix and Restore Windows 7 Boot Screen That Changes to Vista Style
Sometimes, the beautiful, elegant, high resolution animated and dynamic Windows 7 boot screen UI may be changed to or replaced with Windows Vista boot screen, normally when user adds a Windows 7 entry in boot menu or accidentally when user attempts to repair the startup menu items with Windows Vista DVD, specifically Startup Repair.
