Windows 7 Virtual PC And Windows XP Mode RC Direct Download Links
Microsoft has released an updated release candidate (RC) version of Windows Virtual PC (VPC) and Windows XP Mode (XPM) for Windows 7. Windows Virtual PC is a new virtualization runtime engine for Windows 7 which requires hardware-assisted virtualization (how to check if system supports hardware VT), while Windows XP Mode, formerly known as Virtual Windows XP (VXP), provides backward-compatibility for older applications, especially proprietary software used by corporates and businesses.
According to Windows 7 Team blog, the following new features have been added and changes have been made to Windows XP Mode RC since last release of Windows XP Mode Beta.

The Virtual PC 2007 has been the main free virtualization software by Microsoft for Windows users, until Windows 7, which does not support the versions up to Virtual PC 2007 SP1. Instead, Windows Virtual PC (Virtual PC 7) is released for Windows 7 systems. Windows Virtual PC is a new optional component that create and run virtual machine for application compatibility. Windows Virtual PC also powers Virtual Windows XP or Windows XP Mode (VXP or XPM) that allows older or incompatible apps, such as 16-bit programs to seamlessly run on same desktop environment of host machine without run the virtual machine.
